Who can apply?

2020/21 Rainforest Team taking a break from their hard work

We are looking for passionate, hard-working, high school students who want to make a difference both locally and globally while learning valuable leadership and environmental conservation skills. The nature of our program curriculum demands students be invested. If chosen, students will be expected to meet with their team once per month (typically on 1st or 2nd Monday of the month) throughout the school year, November through May. Students are expected to actively participate in team meetings and the local project, to keep up with deadlines, correspond with their team in a professional and timely manner, and participate in our hour-a-thon fundraiser in April.

We accept applications from August 1^st to November 1^st every year, or until our teams are full (we have a max capacity of 10 students per team). Once your application is submitted you will be contacted to schedule a Zoom interview with yourself and at least one parent, and teams will be chosen based on those interviews on a first come, first serve basis so filling out the application early is recommended.

How will you pay for your program tuition? If you are planning on fundraising your tuition we need a DETAILED plan broken down into our deadlines ($375 non-refundable deposit upon acceptance, 1/2 of remaining balance due in January, remainder of balance due in April). Be as detailed as possible, students without a detailed plan will not been excepted into our program. *
